Anybody else think we've been slowly working towards the Valeyard?

The tone of this article almost seems to suggest that we're dreading the departure of Amy and Rory. But I for one can't wait! I think these current companions have more than worn out their welcome. Especially Amy Pond, who I went from absolutely adoring at the beginning to now outright despising. Personally, I think last season's finale should have been the last of the "Ponds" we saw, and that these 5 episodes has been 5 episodes too many to be subjected to that pair.

Also, I'm practically salivating at the thought of the gorgeous Jenna-Louise Coleman (who we just saw as Oswin in "Asylum of the Daleks") taking over as the new companion. When I learned this news at the start of the season, it made me wish Amy and Rory would leave that much sooner. Jenna-Louise has so much personality and wonderful chemistry with Matt Smith, that I predict nothing but great things to come.

So count me in as looking very much forward to a changing of the guard soon. Good riddance!

The Valeyard?  No.  Resurrecting a character created through the worst storyline of the classic series doesn't seem at all likely to me.  Some things are best left in the past and never seen again.

As for the departure of the Ponds, they can't leave until The Doctor sorts out the whole Melody/River problem.  I can't imagine that The Doctor will allow it to just stand that Amy and Rory are never able to raise their own child.  Where there's a will, there's a timey-wimey way.

I'm not so sure, Wyld.  No Doctor has been as full of self-recrimination as Matt Smith's.  Remember the Dream-Lord?  The Valeyard supposedly is between 12 and 13...so if something happens to Rory...or God forbid, Amy...and then he meets new chick, Knowing what's in store for her and finding it impossible to save her for whatever reason...The 50th is coming up.  I can't think of a much more shattering game-changer than the Doctor going bad!
