@toran - Bradley Cooper is a great idea too. Taking a look at his pics I can see it. he has the acting chops as you said so he is possibility.

@Wyldstar, the fella I mention is aso English but if an Austrailian can play an Asgaurdian then anything's possible!

Let Simon Baker from The Mentalist play Dr. Strange. He's heard rumors about him in the role. I don't think he's interested in a superhero role, but he gets my nomination. Johnny Depp is cool, but he's obvious.

I think Dr. Strange might be fun. I really thought the animated movie was very well done, so I can see it happening.

Bradley Cooper? Nah. Too much a funny man. Matthew McCaughnahey. Because hey, he needs the work? Why not Tom Cruise?

Seriously, Orlando Bloom I think could do it, and he can do an American accent. And he plays an arrogant prick well.

violator14 1/28/2013 11:29:34 AM

Naahhh... save Bradley Cooper for The Flash.

btw how about maybe Christian Bale?? he was a pretty good magician in "The Prestige". I would have totally gone with Hugh Jackman as Dr. Strange per "The Prestige" as well, but we all know he's the 6'2" canuck rage machine we all love.

I still like Karl Urban for Doctor Strange...on the topic of Ant Man - I could have SWORN they said he was going to be part of Phase 2 of it's being put off AGAIN?  Is this the studio or Edgar Wright once again being too lazy or incompetent to follow a schedule?  Seriously, Wright has previously said that the only reason Ant Man wasn't made before  The Avengers is  because he dropped the ball...HE IS NOT WORTH WAITING AROUND FOR, MARVEL & DISNEY!  Either scrap the whole project, or give it to somebody who gives a shit.  Seriously, Phase 3  will come and go, and there will STILL be no Ant Man movie if this dicklicker is still attached to it.

No. Go with the original animated origin. he is a highly successful doctor that is in an auto accident due to the activities of the circle in combat. He spends months trying to repair his damaged hands so he can resume his career as a world class surgeon only to find failure. He is about to commit suicide when a voice tells him there is another way. He is sees an image of a isolated mountain in Tibet. He travels to this place and begins his tuitalege under the Master. See the animated version for a good origin story.

I am with Laz, the animated origin story is perfect.  Just make it live action and it is all good.

Hey Lazarus...

Bradley Cooper for The Flash. But why choose the obvious pretty boys? Marvel usually wins when they choose a not so obvious, but competent actor who is crackling with charisma when they step out.

Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, *Tobey Maguire (Not sold on Andrew Garfield), Ian McKellen, Alan Cummings, Kelsey Grammar to name a few.

*Yeah, I know. The last 4 are not Marvel Studio related, but I mentioned them anyway to support my point. I love great casting!

Still like Viggo Mortensen for Dr. Strange.  Also, hearing strong rumors for the Vision in Avengers 2.
