Most of these big names being floated around like Johnny Depp or Bradley Cooper seem to be out of tune with the way Marvel Studios casts their movies. They tend to go with actors they can get on the cheap in the lead role, with high profile actors in the supporting cast. Marvel instead relies on the quality of the film to boost their actor into a mainstream leading man, and it's worked pretty well so far.
