This segment contains SPOILERS! To avoid them, skip down to the SOLOMON KANE slug-line.
SCI FI Wire has a good write up of what's in store for the new season of 'Smallville'. Most importantly is the question of whether or not Clark is going to suit up.
The answer to that: yes...sort of.
"He isn't a guy who is going to put the tights and the boots on yet," showrunner Kelly Souders said. "He hasn't gone as far as Green Arrow or Black Canary. He's still on his path to becoming that man. But he is definitely recognizing that there is a second identity for him. As much as he knows what Clark Kent looks like, he needs to figure out what the Superman part looks like. So it might not be the costume everybody is used to seeing, but it is one step closer to that."
Expect a variation on the Superman costume, something closer to the black/silver "resurrection suit" seen in the post-doomsday stories.

Hopefully you caught our summary of the 'Solomon Kane' panel at Comic-Con. Comics2Film caught some of the clips from the presentation and the film does look like it'll be one to watch for.
The movie adapts Robert E. Howard's Puritan hero, which features 'Lord of The Rings' style fantasy in an early, early American setting. The sight of the sword wielding hero in a cloak facing down a 15 foot tall fire demon is quite a thing to behold.
If you were at the show, you also saw the teaser poster from the film on display. Click the thumbnail for the full view.

From the CBR Boat Show at Comic-Con International, actor Brandon Routh talks about his role in 'Dead of Night'...

Korea Times is reporting that the role of Kato in 'The Green Hornet' may go to high-profile South Korean actor Kwon Sang-woo.
According to their report, the actor "passed" an English audition for the role although they stop short of saying that he's actually landed the part.
Fans of Asian cinema may recall the actor from the wonderfully over-the-top wire-fu epic 'WaSanGo', known in English-language territories as 'Volcano High'. Based on a Google image search we can at least say that Sang-woo is n better physical condition than 'Green Hornet' lead Seth Rogen.
In an interview earlier this month, Rogen said they were casting a wide net to find Kato, and may have even made a vague reference to Sang-woo himself.
"We are reading many, many people from all over the globe, and it is a wild adventure. We're just looking everywhere, honestly," Rogen said, adding that he and screenwriting partner Evan Goldberg will tweak the script to suit whoever is cast. "We've done that on every movie we've ever written. But we know how we want the relationships to work, and so someone needs to fill that general role.
"It's been really interesting, I can say that. You meet these people, and you're like, 'You are clearly famous in Korea! I can see from 100 feet away that you are the most famous person in whatever country you're from!'", Rogen said, laughing, "and I just feel bad that we make them read with us."
Visionary director Michel Gondry is set to direct the film, based on the classic radio/pulp/comic/TV character, later this year. The film is due out next July.
Actress Megan Fox told MTV News that the studio is getting excited about the prospect of a 'Fathom' movie, which would involve the actress running around dripping wet in a swimsuit most of the time. At least we hope so.
"They just wrote the first draft of the script, and everybody's really happy with it," Fox told MTV News. "I haven't read it yet, but the studio's really happy with it and there's growing excitement around the project."

BTW, am I missing something. I didn't read anything about Captain America
If you've seen any recent pics of Rogan, he's trimmed down quite a bit. He has cut his hair so he doesn't have the big fro.
I didn't see anything about Cap, either...
Can’t we just put Fox in Barbarella? Or aren’t they working on a Porky's remake. Wait how about "Best Little Whore House in Texas". No even better "Behind the Green Door". Whatever it takes, get Fox naked and on screen, you have a hit.
Smallville is gonna own in Season 9 . Clark in his suit and he will Kneel before Zod =) haha
Look people on top of the page it says "Plus: Captain America". See it's right there, Captain America. That is all Rob Worley wanted to say.
I do enjoy just blurting out "Captain America!" at times.
But no, this was a last-minute edit. There was a story making the rounds about TORCHWOOD star John Barrowman saying he wanted the part, but after I read his quote I could see that he was just joking around. Wasn't really a newsworthy remark so I struck it. But then I failed to remove the reference on the front page.
Sorry to raise false hopes!
John Barrowman as Captain America? Oh my God! That would be so cool in a "guano crazy" kind of way but alas...
Fox will own as Fathom as I'm pretty sure my college roommate didn't read the comic for the storylines...
Seth Rogan is a faithful to Green Hornet as Ryan Reynolds is to Deadpool. As long as the Hornet Sting isn't a crackpipe we'll be fine... (So kidding....)
I like Mark Valley for Captain America but he may be too old. Captain America was mid-twenties but wouldn't be surprised if they opt for older. And what effect is the on-going work on Wolfman by Johnston going to have on Cap's film?
I find Fox more annoying the more I see of her, I mean the more I hear her. If she could just stand there and shut the eff up.
Do we have a release date for Solomon Kane yet?
This Seth Rogen as Green Hornet thing still bemuses me a bit. He may be getting into shape and all but he still has quite a large head, literally, and the curls don't add to the outfit in any way. But we shall see. Rogen has yet to disappoint me but alas all he has done so far are great comedies and this better not end up being a spoof.
