I never understood why the remake took so much hate.  Anytime you re-make matinee trash, like the original film...fun trash, but trash...one cannot expect "Citizen Kane". It WAS fun trash though. It seems the lovely Gemma Arterton isn't in this one though. Shame.

Oh, and mullets will be back...just you wait!

Looking forward to this. I thought Abrams' last Trek film was great...except for all the lens flares! Ow, my eyes! Saw "Super 8" last weekend...again with the lens flares!! Let's hope JJ falls out of love with that technique before he films the next Trek. Weller is an intelligent and compelling actor. His appearance on "Fringe" last year was most welcome. One of that show's most poignant episodes.  

I enjoyed the comments on Harlon Ellison, who quit writing years ago to take up a new career suing people for plagiarizing his many fine works. Filmmakers: isn't it time for movies based on Ellison's "Along the Scenic Route"? "The Discraded"? Or better yet, "Santa Claus versus S.P.I.D.E.R."? Just try giving him credit and cutting him a check for once.

This movie holds no interest for me. Maybe its Timberlake; I don't know.  Its release probably means that faithful adaptation of "Logan's Run" won't be coming along anytime soon. 

Abe Lincoln, Vampire Hunter completed principle photography in New Orleans just a few weeks ago, and is in post-production now. Just FYI. A friend worked on the picture and says it should be incredible.

Looks expensive. That means cancellation within about 12 episodes unless it absolutely CRUSHES in ratings.

I'm with you on the anime. I find it perverted and at times incomprehensible. (Anime fans, go ahead and flame me) I thought the animated Akira was pretty good, but even it - at times - left me scratching my head and wondering "wtf is going on?" However, Akira is one of the best of the best. The majority of it is IMO crap. Sad to see it dominates American animated TV as it does. Pokemon, Yuh-Gi-Oh, Beyblade, One Piece.... then there's the junk they run late night on SyFy....even more messed up. I'll pass on an Akira movie.

mmm. Doctor Strange... Right now I could SO see Leo Dicaprio playing the Master of the Mystic Arts. Discuss...
