The second season of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse will premiere Friday, Sept. 25 (9:00-10:00 p.m. E.T/P.T.) on FOX. Series creator and executive producer Joss Whedon will write and direct the episode that will set the stage for Season Two.

The show is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. The series was created by Joss Whedon, who also serves as executive producer, writer and director. Tim Minear is as an executive producer, while Tara Butters, Michele Fazekas and David Solomon are co-executive producers. Additionally, series star Eliza Dushku serves as a producer. The series also stars Tahmoh Penikett, Olivia Williams, Harry Lennix, Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman and Enver Gjokaj.

Plot Concept: In "Dollhouse," Eliza Dushku stars as "Echo," an "Active" in a highly illegal and underground group of individuals whose personalities have been wiped clean so they can be imprinted with any number of new personas. Confined between missions to a secret facility known as the "Dollhouse," the Actives are hired by the wealthy, powerful and connected to wholly become with mind, personality and physiology whomever the client wants or needs them to be. Whether imprinted to be a lover, an assassin, a corporate negotiator or a best friend, the Actives know no other life than the specific engagements they are in at that time or do they?

I`m glad the renewed this. I just wish they would have renewed TSCC.

My sentiments exactly pony.  Let's just hope Dollhouse gets a bit more consistent with the quality or it will go the same way.  Speaking of Whedon shows, I'm watching the Firefly series for the first time on blu-ray and of course, I love it.  How did that get cancelled?  Guess it's a moot question when it comes to Fox.

Firefly got cancelled because it sucks! Dollhouse will get cancelled too! It is it's destiny! It's the Whedon curse! Plus it's not very good!

Awesomeness!

Dollhouse was pretty consistent. It got consistently better as the season went on. Can't wait to see what they have in store for season 2. Too bad Mellie got set loose, though. She was pretty hot!

I was late to the Firefly party.  I didn't see the series until they started working on the Serenity movie.  Then I Netflix-ed the series in preparation. Man, that show kicked ass! Loved it!

Firefly got cancelled because Fox put it in the Friday deathslot (which Dollhouse had this season). Specifically foxed wanted funny, wacky action adventure (not so much on the complex characters and slow, simmering, season-long plot development). Even though Fox hated the original pilot, they kept using the clip of Summer Glau as "the naked girl in the box" in all their commercials. (Whedon reveals a few of these gems on the commentary tracks in Firefly).

I've watched Dollhouse throughout the first season and loved it, as Whedon shows tend to improve over the course of the season. 1st season Buffy was very spotty with quality (I only started watching it at the end of season two), and even Whedon admits that the chemistry of cast and story wasn't set with Angel until the end of season two (when Lorne, Gunn, and Fred had all been introduced). The concept of Dollhouse and where Whedon intends to take it intrigues me; he gave an excellent interview on Fresh Air when Dollhouse started which was very illuminating.

I watched the first season of TTSCC, and found it to be slow, uneven, and relatively impactless. I wanted to care about it (being a fan of the leading ladies and of the Terminator movies), but if I missed a week or never got around to watching it on the DVR, I found that I didn't really have a huge desire to see it again.
