The Croods Trailer #2

Cage as Caveman?

By Robert T. Trate     December 05, 2012
Source: ENTV/ DreamWorks

Here is the second trailer for DreamWorks Animation's The Croods. Are you ready to buy Nicolas Cage as a caveman yet?
Plot Concept: Surviving in a volcanic world is tough enough, but caveman Grug (Nicolas Cage) gets a rude awakening when an earthquake forces him to leave behind the only world he knows. With his family in tow, he ventures out into the volatile world in search of a new home. The situation becomes even more complicated when Grug's family - but in particular his eldest daughter - become smitten with a nomad (Ryan Reynolds) they encounter on their dangerous journey. This quirky, imaginative stranger's search for 'tomorrow' is at odds with Grug's reliance on the traditions of yesterday. Keener plays the mother of the Crood clan while Stone will voice Eep, their daughter. The family’s new life only becomes more challenging when they meet a nomad, Gy (Ryan Reynolds), who introduces them to the concept of “tomorrow” and draws the romantic interest of Eep (Emma Stone).
The Croods will hit theaters March 30, 2012.

Whoa! Ryan Reynolds and Nic Cage together? that spells box office gold to me. How come no one thought of pairing these 2 together before?

Yeah I'm probably checking this out

Dang, I had to re-read that plot 3 times just to make sure I wasn't having Deja Vu. LOL.

Alienstatue, I feel like I've read your comment before.

With three kids, I am almost certain that I will see this at some point.  As long as all the funny parts aren't just the ones in the trailer, (which may very well be the case, I've been burned before) this may actually be a decent flick.  Wreck-it Ralph was a recent animated movie that I took the brood to that had me entertained from start to finish and feeling justified for the expense, and this one looks to have the potential to do the same.

But will they ever eat a brontoburger or run into the Great Gazoo?

With the Rise of the Guardians being such a great flick I will definitely be taking my kids to this one. Looks funny and enjoyable.
