OK, I hate to be the one nay sayer around here (although it's not like it's the first time), but I for one am inclined to trust Kevin Feige about parting ways with Wright.  I have nothing agaisnt Edgar Wright and have enjoyed all of his work but frankly I have enjoyed everything Marvel studios has done so far, much more.  If Feige was really worried that the movie Wright was going to turn in was going to be too much of a high-camp comedy, I trust his instincs.  All the scripts for the Marvel cinematic universe have very deftly used well written comedy to keep the tone from getting too heavy, but it's a fine line.  None of us know what Wright wanted to do with the script, but do you really want Ant Man to have the seriousness of Sean of the Dead?  Not saying that's what we would have gotten, but what if it was.

Now I just realized I am defending Kevin Feige's judgement after a year and a half bitching about GoTG, and what a bad idea it was.  I'm conflicted.  Tell you what, if GoTG sucks as much ass as I think it will, I'll apologize and hop on the re-hire Wright bandwagon.  Otherwise, let's dance with the one that brought us and trust Marvel studios.

Wright, who cares?  Did I some what enjoy The world's end?  Yea.  Did I like but not love Hot Fuzz?  Yea.  No big loss.  Though I guess I couldn't care less if Ant-man is made at all so maybe I'm not the one who should even care about the director.

What a very diplomatic and safe thing to say from him.

Michael Douglas is definitely a cunning linguist.
