Hey Sarafin, do you know what the target release date for this film is?
Robert Downey Jr. may be heading into space for Alfonso Cuaron's 3D celestial adventure Gravity. Deadline NY reports the actor is in negotiations to star in the Warner Bros. Pictures film and could shoot it this summer in London before he begins work on Sherlock Holmes 2. Legendary Pictures is producing.
Downey Jr. "will play the leader of a team posted at a remote space station. While he and a female colleague are traveling outside the space station, the other team members are decimated by debris from an exploded satellite."
Cuaron wrote the script with his son, Jonas. Angelina Jolie was reportedly offered the female lead role but passed on it.

But hopefully there's more to this than that. Cuaron and Downey, though, are money.
im interested because im a big downey fan i hope this works well for him as well as the other movies like iron man and sherlock holmes have done
What because Angelina Jolie passed on it it gets more credit than usual?
I've pretty much only liked RDJ in Iron Man, he's been okay in other things but nothing that really called to me, not even Holmes. Maybe Cuaron can finally make a good movie, we'll see but nothing here suggests that
Whoa wiseguy, you've only liked RDJ in Iron Man. Wow, IMO he is one of the best actors of our generation. Tropic Thunder, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Chaplin, Soloist, Less Than Zero, Zodiac, and the list goes on. I'm just surpised. I mean, hey, it's your opinion and geez we don't all have to like someone, but I'm just kinda amazed. He's such a wonerful actor and so seemlessly becomes his roles.
I'll be looking forward to this one as I am all his movies.
