Dracula Park site set

Site selected is near burial site, not birthplace

YAHOO! AP News covers Wednesday's announcement of a site selection for a planned Dracula theme park, to be constructed in Romania near the traditional burial place of medieval Romanian prince Vlad Dracul, known as the Impaler and the basis for the legend of Dracula.

Officials had debated siting the tourist attraction near Dracul's birthplace, Sighisoara. The burial place is said to be in a small monastery the prince constructed on an island set within a lake. The lakeside is to be the park's setting.
