I was thoroughly impressed by this novel, and therefore I can't in good conscience keep this book to myself. Whoever has a solid interest in reading this, and can tell me which series beat out The Lord of the Rings for the one-shot "Best All-Time Series" Hugo Award, will win my free hardback review copy of this novel. First to post wins!

In answer to your question: Issac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy was awarded the Hugo Award for Best All-Time Series. And as a fan of the two previous Commonwealth books, I can't wait to read this new addition.

For me, the best new Sci-Fi series of books(well, not THAT new), is the Saga of Seven Suns series by Kevin J. Anderson! Epic isn't a strong enough word to describe them. The story is grand, the characters amazing, and the pace of the writing is fast and a page turner. If you haven't read any of these, by all means DO SO!
