
Dreamworks has purchased the film rights to different respective comic series this morning. According to Variety, they now have the rights to the comics, THE DAMNED & COURTNEY CRUMRIN. Both adaptations will be produced by Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald.
Courtney Crumrin Details: Centers around a misfit who moves with her social-climbing parents into her uncle's spooky mansion. While her parents strive for status in their new, swanky neighborhood, the oddly charming girl finds magic in her uncle's library.
This series has 12 comic books total thus far also released into 3 different graphic novels. A new novel is set for August 15, 2007. The series is written and illustrated by Ted Naifeh.
The Damned Details: A horror based comic series, it's a gangster thriller with a supernatural twist. When a pack of demons arrive in their city, two rival gangs must join forces to defeat their new common enemy.
