Sounds like it could be cool. But I'd rather get this story from Quentin Tarantino ala Vernita Green or something like that. A comedy? Not so sure, unless it's rated R and has as much blood as Ninja Assassin

Who would win this what-if scenario. The wife...or the Ninja? You can sound off below if you think your wives aren't reading your comments. DreamWorks is about to test out the theory for their action-comedy aptly titled Wife vs. Ninja, reports Variety. The movie is based on Michael Besman’s pitch.
Plot Concept: The story centers on a Long Island housewife who discovers that the beautiful young intern who recently stole her scientist husband is actually a bloodthirsty ninja assassin intent on stealing his work.

This is great! I think this is a clever idea. The title aptly leads to a comedy.
Yes, you could do this seriously, but the use of ninjas is already most often been in action/adventure movies. Why not go the comedic route?
Will it work? Don't know. There's no info on the exact approach or the creative team or actors who will do this. Hollywood can often come up with a poor execution of a good idea. But until I know more, I'm admiring the potential of this.
Straight to dvd, dont pass go dont collect 200$. I probably wouldnt even bootlegg this because it would be a waste of time.
Agreed, markeetundra. And yes, this sounds like direct to DVD, but who knows? I never thought Clue or Pirates of the Carribean would be worth watching when they were first announced.
I know my wife doesn't read my comments, but I think she would agree that a ninja would kick her ass...
Naaawwww my wife will nag the ninja to death it's way stronger than the one finger death touch.
It's funny...I know at least one of these two ragging on this movie have b*tched and moaned about the lack of original ideas in Hollywood and here somebody is trying one - whether it'll be successful or not, we'll see - and they are b*tching and moaning. These @ssholes are the reason Hollywood has no original ideas and these people would rather blame it on remakes and sequels.
Not a Ninja fan so much.
But would need to see the actors chosen before deciding, to rent it , and a trailer is a must!
This sorta gives me a "My Super Ex Girlfriend" feel to it. Dont see the real potential in the story, but definitely original and sounds pretty damn funny. I'll probably pass and wait for it to come on HBO.
Clearly we have run out of ideas in Hollywood.
