I this looks like a movie I'd like to see. Just the little I've see from the trailer and the featurette it looks much better than the shitty Stalone version.

On Monday, my buddy had advanced tickets to see a premier and invited me but I had to pass due to family obligations.

The next day he called me and said it's too bad I couldn't find a sitter. He was blown away as well as the 3 others that joined him at this screening. He gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up and definitely kills the terrible Stallone/Rob Schneider one.

You guys are mean. I liked Sly's version. But then again I've never followed the comic or anything.

I do like how this one is playing it straight. I like everything I've seen and it's got a nice ratio going on rottentomatoes

I dunno, Sly's version had a more "futuristic" look to it. So many of the shots/scenes look like they simply used the ghetto of some large city to film it in, and there's not much in the way of "future tech" except the bikes and the weapons. I'm still VERY doubtful as to seeing it in the theaters, and if it's only 3-D that will hinder my decision to see it as well, since I can't see 3-D due to my bad eyes.

I agree, Ole WiseOne......I like Sly's version. It's not a great movie, but it was a lot of fun. This whole push towards dark, gritty, "realistic" adaptations of comics is getting stale.

Ooooh looking forward to the sequel now...

I'm hoping they leave Judge Death til part three and combine Block Mania with the Judge Child for part two...

Hopefully they will use some of the crazier elements of the comic, too...

The Fatties and Boing perhaps...

 I see nothing but doom in this movies future.
