HEROES Season Three Promo - May 10, 2008 - 07:37am
With Sex and the City and X-Files 2 coming soon, I've come to realize that Hollywood hasn't quite seen the potential for movies from the TV genre. I'm sure these 2 movies will do fine in the box office (although I don't think Sex in the City will draw what it would have 3 years ago). And I'm anxious for X-Files 2. But imagine if you will, an entire season of Heroes with the usual character development and build-up that we've seen in the past. And then the season finale being released as a feature film. A 75 million $ budget and we could see a real Heroes throw-down.
Universal Unleases New HD HULK Trailer - May 01, 2008 - 07:09am
I love that they used a hint of the TV Hulk theme at the very end of the trailer. And it looks like it's much more of a "man on the run" film compared to Ang Lee's.
CLOVERFIELD - Apr 10, 2008 - 08:38am
Review was on the money Tim. You easy explained the difference between it being a monster movie (which you'd have to explain all the origin stuff and what eventually happened to it) and it being a film about the main characters and what is happening to them. The shaky cam was an element of the film and part of a character.
New Pics for HELLBOY II, Trailer Online - Apr 03, 2008 - 09:09pm
mla, with your reasoning it should be Hellman.....which would make him a mayonnaise.
jonniej, Are you kidding me? Matrix Reloaded? The sequels were okay, but the original is one of the greatest sci-fi's ever by itself. IMO, the sequels kinda ruined the first Matrix.
Dark Horse and Universal Sign Deal - Mar 15, 2008 - 07:51am
I think you're right Necronomitron. I'm sure they just have a licensing deal with those properties. Otherwise we'd be seeing a crap load of Star Wars related stuff not done by George Lucas. Wait a minute.....that doesn't sound half bad.
Paramount Confirms CLOVERFIELD 2 - Jan 31, 2008 - 10:49am
Amen Shadowprime.
I do not understand why people are complaining about the use of a shakey-cam in this movie. It had to be done for this movie to work, as well as for Blair Witch to work. It's a story telling element. I know it will have an ill effect on some people, but that's a different complaint than not using it because you just don't like it or think it's a fad. It's not like Bourne Supremacy where they really had a choice on using it or not.
STAR WARS DARTH BANE: Rule of Two - Jan 18, 2008 - 09:28am
I'm an avid reader of the expanded universe too. And it baffles the mind why Lucas didn't get someone to write the script when he's got a pool of authors that know the Star Wars universe so well. That being said, I think episodes 1-3 was actually a great story. Lots of political intrigue and windows into a characters behavior. It's just that the dialogue and his directing skills diminished it. Almost every speaking scene sounds like a first take. But I think the the story as a whole is really cool. The romance is fine and is essential to the story, but for the love of god learn how to direct it.
INDIANA JONES 4 Update: New Video - Aug 14, 2007 - 09:16am
You can tell these guys are having way too much fun with this. I love it.
Details Emerge on WATCHMEN Casting - Aug 06, 2007 - 09:40am
gauleyboy,
And you misunderstood me. Venom was not a revolutionary comic. But as a character in the Spider-man mythos he most definitely was.
Details Emerge on WATCHMEN Casting - Aug 05, 2007 - 10:53pm
gauleyboy,
Yes, The Watchmen was a revolutionary comic. But that arguement should be the same for Venom. Spider-man has been around for 40+ years. But the introduction of of Venom was an instant classic and perfect foil for Spider-man. He pretty much breathed new life into the 40+ year old character. So, making Venom share screen time with 2 other major villains instead of giving him his own 120 minutes worth of storyline hurt the movie. And though very cool looking in the movie, made Venom just another character.
TRANSFORMERS Writers Speak Out - Jul 12, 2007 - 10:04am
It would really be cool for Soundwave to appear in the next film. He could show up to raise Megatron while Starscream was "leader" of the Decepticons. Soundwave had the coolest voice after Optimus.
Silver Surfer Coins - May 29, 2007 - 01:58am
Yeah, can't wait until the US Mint finds out. By the way, who owns the photograph?
Dead Man's Chest Limited Edition Replica - May 15, 2007 - 10:14am
If only it had something inside that replicated the deep heart beat of Davey Jones. That would be cool.
"New York" Magazine Reviews BONES Script - May 07, 2007 - 08:54am
"I think after making the Lord of the Rings trilogy Jackson got it in his head that all movies must be overdone and overly long."
Yeah. All those films Jackson's done after LotR, like King Kong, and then there was King Kong. And let's not forget King Kong. He's done one movie. Get some perspective.
"Blockbuster’s Ultimate Entertainment Experience Contest" Contest - Mar 04, 2007 - 03:31am

"Blockbuster’s Ultimate Entertainment Experience Contest" Contest - Mar 04, 2007 - 03:19am
Is it just me, or is there just an amazing amount of good shows on TV now compared to everything 3-4 years ago and prior? Not that shows today are better than everything in the past, just the quantity and quality. At the top of my list are BSG, Heroes, Studio 60, 30 Rock and The Office. And the Dresden Files and Eureka has been great too.

I've had a chance to play the Wii. One of my favorite features is getting to create a mii, and the fact that it gets saved and stored in your controller so you can play it on another Wii and have all your stats.
DREAM THEATER: announce new Label, new studio album and World Tour - Feb 23, 2007 - 12:29am
Ditto the above comments! Keep the music articles coming. I know there have been comments in the past about 'why is this article on this site?', but I enjoy the music news. I also find interesting what you consider to be 'notable music genres'.
Tasselhoff, I recently pulled out my 'Falling into Infinity' and found it to be better than I remembered.
