Drunken Vader Attacks Church Members

In Holyhead, Wales on March 25th, a man, dressed up as Darth Vader from STAR WARS and wearing a garbage bag for a cape, assaulted the founders of a group calling itself the Jedi church.

Arwel Hughes, 27, attacked Jedi church founder Barney Jones — aka Master Jonba Hehol — with a metal crutch, hitting him on the head.  He then attacked Jone's 18-year-old cousin, Michael Jones — known as Master Mormi Hehol — bruising his thigh.

The two cousins and Barney Jones' brother, Daniel, set up the Church of Jediism, Anglesey order, last year.  The group, which claims about 30 members, says on its Web site that it uses "insight and knowledge" from the films as "a guide to living a better and more worthwhile life."

Hughes shouted at the group, "Darth Vader! Jedis!" He claimed he couldn't remember the incident, having drunk most of a 2 1/2-gallon box of wine beforehand. His lawyer told the AP, "He knows his behavior was wrong and didn't want it to happen but he has no recollection of it."

He was been sentenced to two months in jail but the judge suspended the sentence for one year. Hughes still has to pay fines.

He should have just said, "I was under the influence of the Dark side of the Force". Most likely they would have let him off the hook with a stern warning. No Disintegrations, no Force Choking, No Sabers (of any kind, if ya know what I mean. (Wink Wink). I guess the Force was not with them when he attacked. That's why it's important to not just have the Church, but you have to implement a Jedi Defense and Tactical regiment. It is key to the survival of the Jedi and it may protect you from evil Drunken Sith Lords bent on destroying you with Crutches and bad breath.

Long Live The Jedi

I wonder if the real reason he did it, was because he found their lack of faith disturbing?

True, true, "THE7"! They were all hypocrites! Jedis that cannot defend themselves? Jedis that can't use the force? But then again, the jedis got their asses kicked by a drunken Darth Vader in "Revenge of the Sith" as well! Maybe, this guy is on to something. I sense he will bring balance to the Force!

LOL Holy BLEEP!! That was freaking great! "Darth Vader! Jedis!" Come on!! Jail time?? He was only doing what any Dark Lord of the Sith would do! Man, I wish someone would have got that on video, it would be one of the most watched on the internet. LOL

This is to frickin' funny! I still can't believe they have an actual Jedi church in England... Those wacky Brits! But hey, if you actually seriously have a Jedi church, you gotta expect shit like this is going to happen.

Um - you start the church of the "jedi" you better expect this kind of stuff. Is this like cosplay? I'm all for starting the "Church of the Sith" and heading out to kick some ass all in the name of "religious beliefs".
"Your honor, I HAD to beat him with a colored stick. It's my religious creed."

I guess they couldn't defend themselves with their 20 sided dice. You know that's what they were doing.
