Dunst Says Yes to SPIDER-MAN 4

In the biggest non-announcement of the week category, actress Kirsten Dunst has told MTV that she's "in" for a Spider-Man 4 before realizing that Columbia Pictures has yet to make an official press release statement on the fourth and fifth installments. We're still not sure why Sony hasn't come out yet because Maguire and Raimi have reportedly signed on the dotted lines to return in the next installments being fleshed out by screenwriter James Vanderbilt, who is drafting a tale to be told over a two film period of time.
“I’m in,” said the actress matter of factly. However, when pressed to make the announcement official, Dunst quickly changed her tone, and rather cryptically added, “I’m not saying anything, I know there’s rumors…”
She has been adamant about her return to the franchise pending the returns of Maguire and Raimi. If they're back, she will be back. Sony has also said that there was no plans to write her character out or replace her after the last bit of rumors confirmed the two but not Dunst.
The actress made the announcement while promoting her latest feature film How to Lose Friends and Alienate People. Co-star Simon Pegg also joked around about the news.
“I’m in ‘Spider-Man!’” joked Pegg. “I play Mary Jane’s brother. He comes to New York from the university, and he says, ‘Hey, what are you doing hanging out with that web-crawler?’”
Obviously, the latter quote isn't true but the former bit from Dunst implies she's ready to sign if her opposites are indeed signed on for more Spidey adventures.
