Dunst talking about "Spider-Man 4" again

According to WENN, Kirsten Dunst talked again about the upcoming sequel, Spider-Man 4, including speculating on it's release date.

"I think it might happen if me, Tobey and Raimi are all on board," said Dunst.  "I think it'll happen. It'll probably be out in four years at the latest."

The studio has gone on record saying they plan to make a 4th, 5th and 6th film, but no stars are signed and Raimi has said he is not sure what he plans to do as of yet.

. . .

I don't even know what to say that hasn't been said a dozen times.

again.....she makes it seem like she is the important one here....

Man! does this girl love talking about "Spider - Man 4" or what. Is she still an actress? or is she now just the full time unofficial spokesman for the franchise and all the parties involved?

She seems to think she is anyway.

The Studio can say they want to make a 4,5, and 6 but I don't take that seriously.

I am just taking it one film at a time. As it stands, Raimi is in limbo so it's all a 50-50 chance here.

I won't lose sleep on it either way.

Oh come on. First you all bitch because she says the Spidey movies need to take a break. Now you're bitching because she says they'll happen. Or because she dares not to want to be typecast in this one role. Or because she'd never go out with you in a million years.

Truth is, if you met her face to face you'd all start stammering and sweating and look down at your shoes. Ha!

As far as more Spidey movies go...I dunno. Just because Sony wants to run this franchise into the ground, doesn't mean the major players need to stay on board while it happens. Keeping things creative enough to have big audiences coming back for more will be tough. Eventually, a sense of "we've seen that already" sets in, and then you have to reboot the franchise.

First off, why must there always be some assclown coming on here, who never ever posts, except to tell us how we are all fanboyy woman haters who would crap their pants if we met the person we are talking about?
Secondly, Dunst isn`t all that. I wouldn`t go out with her, if she asked. I`ve never met her but I`ve met people way more famous and prettier, never stammered or sweat. And I really doubt most fellas on here would.

Finally, the fact of the matter is Dunst talks lot about these movies. Granted now, is the time she is supposed to because that`s what you do when your movie is about to come out, but she has been speaking for everyone for months. She says one thing and then a week later, says something completely opposite. She should have just shut up in the first place. Now its too late.

I don`t think the "out in 4 years" makes too much sense, but if they were to come back it would give them enough time to do other projects. The thing is if they got rid of Dunst, and Maguire then brought it back in 4 years I don`t think people would mind too much rather then having a whole new cast in like a year.

Dunst, do us all a favor and shut up. We're all sick of hearing from you. You are the weakest link in the Spider-Man films. I'd love it if you WEREN'T in Spidey 4. MJ could easily be recast by a dozen better actresses then you. Go do Crazy/Beautiful 2, or a sequel to another one of your crap movies and stay away from the Spider-Man franchise. It'll survive just fine without you.

I don't have a problem with Dunst talking, I just wish she would think first. She has some talent, but loses respectablity when she goes on these self-centered rants. I would prefer to see Raimi and Maguire attached to Spider-Man 4. However I could care less whether Dunst was in it or not.

This is not to be malicious or cause sh*t.... it's just a fact that Dunst needs to realize.... If anyone from the Spidey team needs to be replaced , and they had to pick the one that fans wouldn't bat an eyelash over, it's her. I like her in the role, and didn't think I would.... but she is totally replaceable... I'm just glad they are talking about more films....

I used to like Dunst. Now I feel that the best thing Raimi could have done with Spiderman 3 is a role-reversal with Mary Jane and Gwen Stacey; have the Goblin throw Mary Jane off a bridge and make Gwen Stacey the new love interest.

BTW, Ponyboy I agree with you on all points except that I would still date Dunst if she asked me.
