Hobbs, since I got the box set the Mrs and I have been going through the 3 parter episodes, still great!

I have never been into Potter.  I've never read any of the books, but I have seen three of the movies.  The last one I saw was about his uncle escaping prison (I got about a quarter to the film after that one.)  Somehow, my parents got caught up in the movie series.  I might try to go back and pick up where I left off, but in no way shape or form am I the target market to buy a deluxe set.

And, I LOVE Ben Hur, but not enough to fork out that kind of cash.  I'm still satisfied with my DVD version and would only upgrade to a basic Blu Ray.  You really have to be a fan of these films to pay that kind of money.  Very few films will be upgraded from DVD to Blu Ray unless there is s definitive reason.   Comparing my Casablanca DVD to the Blu Ray, I can tell very little difference.  Maybe it is a more clearer picture, but not something I can discriminate.

InnerSanctum, Casablanca is amazing on Blu-ray. The sweat from each pore is visible. The textures in the clothes... its great... a worthy upgrade. Have a week and watch one potter at a time. ITs funny how if you read the books and watch the movies you'll like one and not the other. Example. Love the fourth book hate the fourth movie. Reverse that for Harry Potter  5

Tennant will always be the Doctor closest to my heart, but Matt Smith is fully the Doctor and a fine heir.  I love Amy & Rory too.  Favorite companions since Rose.  I agree though, Alex Kingston as River Song is legendary.  I would LOVE a spinoff.

I've only seen a few of the Matt Smith episodes and he really didn't grab me.  My Doctor will always be Tom Baker but I loved Christopher Eccleston and Tennant grew on me until I loved him too.

Farscape still rocks.  Some of the 4th season episodes weren't great.  But the thing about taking chances is that sometimes you will fail.  It was better to have tried and struck out than to have played it safe and been mediocre.

Hobbs, interesting... I go back and watch Farscape probably more often than any other sci fi show, and I still love it. Replace "Farscape" with "Seaquest DSV" and suddenly I agree with everything you said, though.

Amazon is selling Star Trek The Original Motion Picture set Blu-ray (I-VI) for $39.99 until Saturday.  Has anyone else found any good deals?

sports, like I said I didn't think a lot of people would agree with me on this site but my recent opinion isn't the first time I've heard the show doens't hold up.  I would suspect with most things if you are a huge fan of the show it will always be great if not because of the show itself then based on memories alone.  I had the same experience with Witchblade, loved the show when it was on TNT, saw it on DVD 8 years later and said WTF was that.  Makes me wonder if I'll feel the same way about BSG in 10 years.

Golden, X-men first class blu ray 10 bucks on amazon as I suspected it would.  I wouldn't be surprised if Cap America and Thor drop to those prices as well this shopping season.  I also noticed Spartacus on bl ray under 20 bucks but don't know if the price is still the same.

Doctor Who rocks!!!

Matt Smith is okay.

Tom Baker and David Tennant are still tops in my book, with Sylvestor McCoy following close behind.

Has anyone heard if they are going to be able to bring some of the past Doctors back for the 50th anniversary series(season)?

Though i would have to mention that my favorite Companion of the Doctors is a tie between Rose/Sarah/Donna. IMHO.
