Well...I have to admit I'm almost shocked as you Robert...now knowing so much was made up...not sure I want to own this one anymore. I remeber watching it a while back when it came out and loved it but now knowing there was so much stuff made up in the movie, not sure I could look at it the same way.

I hate the feeling of having the rug pulled out from beneath you with special features.  It leaves a bad taste in your mouth.  Not quite the same thing, but the special features in Paranormal Activity (the first one) ruined the feeling that the movie tried so hard to establish.

As for Ed Wood, it has been a very long time since I've had the chance to watch it, so I will give it another spin on rental with fresh eyes.  I don't beleive that I will have the same enjoyment with the new information, but will be interesting to compare viewings enough to give it a shot.

Interesting personal view on the movie experience Robert.  I liked reading about it.

So, is The Hole the same Dante film that was released here in the states last week?  Wow, that was quick.

Glad others see the Masters of the Universe movie for the guilty pleasure it is.

I'm a big fan. So a lot of it is made up. This is like one of Burton's best fillms. I have been waiting on this bluray.

I'm not surprised that most of the film was from the minds of Burton's team of writers.  The story flowed as such.  I wouldn't let it sway you though.  A lot of imaginary characters in film have inspired me.  Shouldn't change a thing that it wasn't fact.  Obviously, there was a grain of truth to the character of Ed Wood.  He didn't give up and aspired to make some of the worst films in movie history.  I'd say there must be a little bit of Ed Wood in Burton; based on some of his OWN personal film collection (he may of had bigger budgets, but he has also made some truly awful movies.)   I'd have to agree...Ed Wood is Burton at his best.  I miss that Burton.

BTW, don't ever watch a documentery on Burton.  I did.  Made me really not like the fellow.  He is such an emo ego driven person.  It is no wonder his films have become bloated and subpar.  No one tells this man child "no".
