I got a good giggle to see that Wrestling is under  "Comedy and Love"  :)  Also, whats so special about this release of GoT season 1?  I got the BluRay back in March.

" ... as Dracula and Frankenstein will not be present here."  Yes they are.  According to Amazon, the collection consists of Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, The Invisible Man, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, Phantom of the Opera and Creature From the Black Lagoon.

May have to pick this up if the price comes down some more.  $160 list price is steep.  The $112 Amazon has it for is better, but still not sure if it's worth it.

@muddseye - have you seen No Holds Barred?  Definitely a comedy.

Sad to say, but I imagine the new generation just doesn't support such sequels.  Or, they are testing the waters with this release and we will eventually see them down the dark and moon lit road.

Oh, you can't have Frenakenstien unless you have the Bride.  Both films fit nicley into one.

And, I agree, the price for the set is a bit much for me.  I already have all the films and their sequels on DVD.  Not sure if it really justifies the need for an upgrade.  I tend to watch these films in marathons around the fall months.

I collected the legacy collections there the way to go but having the classics on bluray does have it's appeal for my collection.

lusiphur, I meant in the 100th Anniversary Editions. I heard/ read that Dracula and Frankenstein would be part of the series. Along with Jaws, ET, Schinder's List.... They will be in the Collection of the Universal Monsters, that's a given. I was bummed about NO  single, expanded editions with all the pictures and info a single collected edition

They may not be getting single-edition releases (at least not yet), but DRACULA and FRANKENSTEIN (along with the Spanish DRACULA and BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN) are indeed part of the list of 13 films getting special restorations this year (the others are ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT, THE BIRDS, BUCK PRIVATES, JAWS, SCHINDLER'S LIST, OUT OF AFRICA, PILLOW TALK, THE STING, and TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD). There are additional films getting special edition Blu-ray releases that haven't gone through the same all-out restoration process (E.T., etc.).

Also, I think that the PHANTOM OF THE OPERA in this set is actually the 1943 version starring Claude Rains, rather than the silent Lon Chaney version (which Image released last year).

Overall, this sounds like a pretty great set to me.

Oh, OK Robert.  Now I understand.  Yeah, that would be nice too.
