Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and Terence Stamp join "Get Smart"

According to Variety, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Terence Stamp have signed on to join the upcoming film, Get Smart.  They will join Steve Carell and Anne Hathaway in the cast.

Hathaway will play the role originated on the small screen by Barbara Feldon while Carell will play the title role originated by Don Adams.  Johnson will play the newly created Agent 23 and Stamp will play the role of an evil leader.

Plot details aren't available as of yet, but they have promised to contemporize the film while trying to retain various sitcom touchstones like: the cone of silence, the shoe phone and the original cars driven by Smart.

Filming is set to begin in February.


KJ's Take:  Carell is hilarious and I'll see just about anything he touches, this included.
