Two more horror films have joined the ranks of this year's After Dark's 8 Films to Die For lineup. Leigh Whannell (Saw) and Nathan Phillips' Dying Breed and Adam Gierasch's directorial debut Autopsy have joined the slate of five already announced films for the horror festival which runs January 9th to the 15th. One more entry is needed to complete the lineup.

Here's how it is looking thus far.

Dying Breed

Starring: Nathan Phillips, Melanie Valejo, Mirrah Foulkes, Leigh Whannell

Plot Concept:
Tasmania, Australia, the world's most isolated island. It's rumoured deep within Tasmania’s wilderness an ancient species known as the Tasmanian Tiger is alive and breeding. Yet modern science refuses to believe such a creature now exists since no witnesses have ever been able to prove it. That is until Zoology student, Nina (Mirrah Foulkes), claims she can breach Tasmania's impenetrable forests and reveal the tiger's existence to be true. Driving Nina's quest is one critical piece of proof: a paw print taken by her sister just before she met with a fatal accident eight years before. But what Nina doesn't know is how Tasmania became Australia and the world's most dangerous island in 19th century when the murderous convict Alexander Pearce (aka "The Pieman") broke out of prison only to eat his fellow escapees. Pearce was hung for cannibalism in 1824, but not before he'd spawned a blood line who inherited his taste for human flesh. Soon Nina and her friends discover that in the wild whilst one species may have died out another has thrived - in the form of the Pieman's descendants.

When she sets out with her partner, Matt (Leigh Whannell) and his old mate Jack (Nathan Phillips) and his girlfriend Rebecca (Melanie Vallejo), their little expedition encounters the island's reigning breed, but one who stands on two legs, not four.

The Pieman clan has survived and their need to feed and breed turns Nina, Matt, Jack and Rebecca into the next endangered species.

Autopsy

Starring: Jessica Lowndes, Michael Bowen, Robert Patrick, Jenette Goldstein, Robert LaSardo, Ashley Schneider

Plot Concept: A young woman tries to find her injured boyfriend in a bizzare and dangerous hospital.

The Broken

Starring: Lena Headey, Richard Jenkins, Asier Newman, Michelle Duncan, Melvil Poupaud

Plot Concept:
On a typically gloomy day in London, Gina, a young and beautiful radiologist, is sure she just saw herself driving by--in her own car. When she follows her mysterious doppelganger into an unfamiliar apartment, she isn’t quite sure she can trust her own eyes until she spots a photo of herself and her father on the entryway table. Understandably spooked, she dashes back down to her car. Soon she finds herself in the hospital, unable to remember what has put her there or much about the strange woman. What Gina does know is her boyfriend seems different, the ceiling above the bathtub leaks blood in her dreams, and broken mirrors are becoming a recurring theme in her life. Increasingly paranoid, Gina is experiencing a bizarre and horrific version of her former life, and as things spiral out of control, she must escape from, or come to grips with, her new reality.

From Within

Starring: Thomas Dekker, Elizabeth Rice, Adam Goldberg, Jake Weber, Laura Allen, Rumer Willis

Plot Concept: As a young girl contemplates severing ties from her Christian upbringing, residents in her small town begin to suspiciously die.

Bufferfly Effect: Revelation

Starring: Chris Carmack, Rachel Miner, Melissa Jones

Plot Concept:
A young man discovers he has inherited the powers of "The Butterfly Effect" and attempts to solve the mystery of his high school girlfriend's death using his newfound ability, only to unwittingly unleash a vicious serial killer.

Perkins' 14

Starring: Josh Davidson, Trey Farley, Katherine Pawlak, Heather Tocquigny

Plot Concept:
Directed by award-winning filmmaker Craig Singer ("Dark Ride," "Dead Dogs Lie," "A Good Night to Die"), with a screenplay by Lane Shadgett ("Luna Park," "All Lost Souls"), "Perkins' 14" was developed online at Massify.com. Writers were invited to upload story pitches, and actors submitted audition videos. The site's community members then voted on their favorite story and on which actors they thought deserved to be cast in the four main roles.

The winning idea, submitted by Jeremy Donaldson, follows Robert Perkins, who at age six, becomes mentally unstable when his parents are brutally murdered inside their home. His psychosis has him living the rest of his life convinced that the killers will return in the future to kill him as well. At age 34, Perkins kidnaps 14 people from his hometown of Stone Cove and brainwashes them, creating a unified team of psycho killers.

Slaughter

Starring: TBA

Plot Concept:
A young woman thinks she is leaving her abusive life behind when she moves to Atlanta and ends up living at her family farm. She quickly learns that abuse comes in even crueler forms.
