Dynamite Entertainment acquires Zorro

According to Newsarama, Dynamite Entertainment and Zorro Productions have signed a new agreement to allow for a new Zorro comic series.

"The new comic will be the 'canon,'" Dynamite continued, "which will mark a new beginning, much the same way The Lone Ranger and Red Sonja were launched - with reverence for what's come in the past that fans loved, but moving the story forward and making it accessible to new fans."

Dynamite did not offer any details on the format, creators or launch date.
