What They Say

The Review!
A note : English is not my native language so, I'm doing my best. If they are error you can mail me so that I will not repeat them again thanks..
Several month ago I've saw a fan sub version of the first episode (actually a ASF version from the newsgroup). This show seem very good to me. It include some RPG element, a interesting story and a superb soundtrack.

Please read the resume of Luca Beltrame, since I'm not confident with writing stories in English. I'm gonna get to the technical point right now.

You can see screenshots of EP1,2,3,4,5 on my web page:

Image : The picture quality is great. The first episode shows a little of analog transfer sign but thing get better in the second one .

For me, I've got a Creative Labs DXR 2 Mpeg2 video card, hookup to my TV and Monitor... and I can't see any decompression sign like my friend Luca in the intro. The intro and computer drawn sequence are so clean when compared to the traditional drawing that when those sequence shows up, the difference between them is oblivious. The color are great too and the darker sequence of ep 4 is done beautifully. By the way the bitrate of the video show a average of 8.5 to 9mbits/sec witch is very good, but since you can't judge by the bitrate...

Sound : This 2 channels DD stereo soundtrack got an amazing 448kbps bitrate, witch is pretty rare for a 2 channels soundtrack. The BG music got a "Star Wars" feel to it, with a great orchestra. I've really like the soundtrack and I've bought the OST volume 1 after listening to the first episode.

Menu : The menu have a nice design and colorful. There's a bunch of trailers to watch that look like each other.

Finally : After seeing the first Ep in fan sub and the second one (3,4,5 too) in Japanese only I'm pretty happy to have bought this series yet. I'll wait a little longer to see if Bandai don't announce it in the US. If they don't I'll continue buying them slowly (since the price is the double of Z1 disc). If this series show up there, I suggest you look at it. I loved it!
