Warner Brothers has posted a new poster and a new title for the Tom Cruise alien invasion film All You Need is Kill. First up, they have changed the title to Edge of Tomorrow. Second, they have released a poster exclusively for Comic Con (seen below). Warner Brothers will feature more about the film at their Saturday July 20th Panel in San Diego. The Hollywood Reporter has stated that Warner Bros. will debut footage from the film there.

Synopsis: Lt. Col. Bill Cage (Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to little more than a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.

But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Blunt). And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

Edge of Tomorrow features Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, and Franz Drameh. The film is directed by Doug Liman (Jumper, The Bourne Identity).

Edge of Tomorrow arrives June 6, 2014. The film will be distributed in 2D and 3D in select theatres and IMAX.

Its Ground Hog Day, with Aliens! HAHA

Still, Emily Blunt shooting weapons? I'm there.

Makes you wonder though-with all that gear, what happens if you get a wicked case of the sh*ts?

Maybe it's like Spartans in Halo.  They have catheters and equipment in the rear that collects their bodily waste and either recycles it or gets rid of it.  So you could be klling the enemy while taking a great dump.  Must be a wonderful feeling.

This exoskeleton doesn'l look quite as enclosed as a Spartan suit so maybe they just have an easy open flap in the rear.  Why are we pndering this in the first place?  haha

Source Code. Isn't this the plot (more or less) of Source Code? Still....I agree with Movie Guy on Emily Blunt with weapons.

Who saw "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka"?......."How they go to da bathroom with all that shit on?"

TheMovieGuy28 7/16/2013 1:36:46 PM

^Dojen, that's freaking hilarious! I was just watching Sucka last night. Kung-Fu Joe, theme music, Mr. Big, and CRAMPS! Ahahahahaha

Jokes aside though, yes this does sound source code-y. What would have been a better take, IMHO, is if his character dies, but ala Doomsday style, where he figures out more and more ways to fight them.

On the flipside, though, this could end up really bad like Vantage Point. That movie was like having the vantage point of a catheter.

And who wants to bet Paxton dies at some point?

Well this is based on a Japanese novel so if anything Source Code copied this.

I'll see almost anything with TC in it, even his bad films are better than average for the most part

Totally Source code, which I loved, so yea that plus blunt firing weapons must be good.

Oh and it comes out on my birthday.  Happy Birthday to me.

Agree with Wiseguy...Cruise is a real pro he can elevate a film a notch or two (like Damon and Foster will probably do with Elysium)...the guy must get offered a lot parts (scripts to read) and he thought this had some merit (I guess I'm assuming that at this point in his career Cruise can spot a good bankable story).

By the way Wiseguy, not that I care which story copied which...since their are no truly original ideas, in order to make that determination, we would need you to provide a timeline.  In other words you'd have to say in your post, something like, this was based on a 1998 Japanese Novel...Japanese or not, if the novel was written a year ago than Source Code which came out in 2011 didn't copy it (to be even more accurate...filming of the Source Code started in 2010 and  the author Ben Ripley was trying to sell the concept in Hollywood years prior to that...and kept getting turned down...until he put the idea on paper).

He is going to have to take his hand out of those robotic arms to throw one of those grenades on his belt. I don't know why I think about shit like that.
