Despite all the Tom Crusiery in this film, I am still looking forward to the EDGE OF TOMORROW. Hopefully the story, Emily Blunt, and the visuals will help me get past Tom Cruise.

Synopsis: The epic action of “Edge of Tomorrow” unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world.  Major William  Cage  (Tom  Cruise)  is  an  officer  who  has  never  seen  a  day  of  combat  when  he  is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission.  Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop—forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again…and again.  But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt).  And, as Cage and Rita take the fight to the aliens, each repeated encounter gets them one step closer to defeating the enemy.

EDGE OF TOMORROW features Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Bill Paxton, Brendan Gleeson, Noah Taylor, Kick Gurry, Dragomir Mrsic, Charlotte Riley, Jonas Armstrong, Franz Drameh, Masayoshi Haneda, and Tony Way.

EDGE OF TOMORROW arrives in 3D and 2D in select theaters and IMAX on June 6th, 2014.

Ugh...looks like a ripoff of a TNG episode

i'll be seeing it. Mission Impossible 1-4. Oblivion. Minority Report. Jack Reacher. Collateral. Yeah, the guy is nuts in RL, but hell if he ain't popcorn popping gold.

The military suits are cool , the action looks ok , but Im having trouble with the plot , Calamity I agree with your choices  , except Oblivion . Jack Reacher was better than I thought .

Actualy elrushbo it is more like a rip of of a Stargate SG-1 plot, which is a rip off of TNG, which was a rip off of Groundhog Day. So lets be honest, most stuff that comes out of Hollywood is a rip off of something, usually Shakespeare, it doesn't mean that it can't be good, or at the very least enjoyable. And domino, as pointed out above the temporal loop is a common ploy in sci-fi. While obviously repeatious, the enjoyment usually comes from seeing the different perspectives and how the character is able to grow and figure everything out in each subsequent loop.

The only thing that this is a ripoff of, is an FPS video game. Die, regenerate, repeat - until you pass the level and on and on.

Someone playing a video game had the epiphany: "Wouldn't it be cool if you could do this in real life, too?! Die and come back to life again and again until you complete the whole thing?! We should make a movie about that!"

Good one momitchell7, good one.
