That's why I've never been to Spain...

Summit Entertainment and producer Intrepid Pictures have tapped French director Mabrouk El Mechri (JCVD) to helm their conspiracy thriller Cold Light of Day, reports Variety. Richard Price is writing a production pass on the original script by Scott Wiper and John Petro. Production is expected to begin shooting in Spain this June.
Plot Concept: The story centers on Will Shaw, a young Wall Street trader whose family is kidnapped on a vacation to Spain. He's left with only hours to find them, uncover a government conspiracy and the connection between their disappearance and his father's secrets.
So Americans going to Europe and getting into trouble has been covered in France (Frantic), Italy(The Tourist) and now Spain. Personally, I can't wait for the movie where the American gets into REAL trouble in Leichtenstein. I mean, where could he hide?
I hate when that happens.
