The Elevator: 'Polo'

By Rob M. Worley     March 13, 2008

On one side: producers, directors and other Hollywood players looking for the next big thing.

On the other side are the comic book artists and writers creating the next big thing.

In between is...The Comics2Film Elevator.

Five simple questions. Five quick answers. Just enough to start the ball rolling as you ride from ground to roof.

Today, webcomics creator Curtis Hamilton boards The Elevator to pitch his online book 'Polo'...

Elevator (E): Describe 'Polo' in two sentences or less.

Curtis Hamilton (CH): 'Polo' is about a hero thats out of control and has trouble figuring out what means the most to him! His marriage is on the rocks, and the people that means the most to him are being pushed away.

E: If you were to compare 'Polo' to a movie or TV show what would it be?

CH: Well, a little of 'Blade', 'Batman', 'Tales from the Crypt' with a little 'Star Wars'.

E: Why do you think 'Polo' would translate to film/TV/animation?

CH: It has all the fun things that Americans are into! You have drama, romance, violence, action, superheros and did I mention violence?! As a film this comic would kick buns! Picture Denzel Washington as Marcus Saval --aka POLO -- That would so kick buns!

E: How can folks find your comic?

CH: Right now I'm in the process of bringing Polo to print as some fans been asking. Until then just check out the site at http://www.webcomicsnation.com/ecom/

E: How can folks learn more about you and your work?

CH: Just check out the site and read some pages of the comic at http://www.webcomicsnation.com/ecom/

Thanks so much folks for checking out the man in the mask!
