On one side: producers, directors and other Hollywood players looking for the next big thing.
On the other side are the comic book artists and writers creating the next big thing.
In between is...The Comics2Film Elevator.
Five simple questions. Five quick answers. Just enough to start the ball rolling as you ride from ground to roof.
Today's in The Elevator, Rob M. Worley talks to himself about 'The Revenant'
ELEVATOR (E): Describe 'The Revenant' in two sentences or less.
ROB M. WORLEY (RMW): 'The Revenant' is a supernatural tale of crime and severe, brutal punishment as a gunslinging ghost visits unholy revenge on the gangsters that wronged him.
E: If you were to compare 'The Revenant' to a movie or TV show what would it be?
RMW: It's 'The Shadow' meets 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'
E :Why do you think 'The Revenant' would translate to film/TV/animation?
RMW: 'The Revenant' bridges the gap between the red-hot superhero trend and the also-hot horror movie resurgence. From the hero's bizarre appearance to the stylized, ageless city in which it's set, from the gunslinging ghost's unique calling card to the cast of colorful thugs who are his prey, this story is loaded with amazing visuals. In the age of 'Sin City' and '300', where any world can be created on screen, The Revenant's time has come!
