A true Hollywood legend has passed. Eli Wallach passed away on June 24th, he was 99 years of age. Wallach, who had worked in Hollywood for over six decades his best known for his roles in the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (1966), The Magnificent Seven (1960) and more recently, The Holiday (2006). Wallach’s career paired him with many stars of the big screen including Clint Eastwood, Steve McQueen, Peter O’Toole, Al Pacino, and Marilyn Monroe. Genre fans will remember him always as Mr. Freeze on the Adam West Batman series. A role in which he claimed he got more fan for than anything else he did.

In 2010 he became the oldest actor to ever a receive an Academy Award (honorary). He said, “As an actor I’ve played more bandits, thieves, warlords, molesters and mafioso that you could shake a stick at.”

RIP Tuco. One of my all time favourite movies is Good, Bad and the Ugly thanks to Van Cleef, Clint and Wallach.

I liked Eli as an actor... its just my dad would watch The good the bad the ugly everytime it came on, then play the soundtrack everyday for two weeks after. To this day I cringe when I hear that song.

RIP Mr Wallach
