What They Say
Eukanaria and Haruhiko are hot on the trail of the elusive Demon-Stones in an all out treasure hunt. When digging for buried treasure, you have to have the right atmosphere and the Crystal Cave seems like the ideal spot. But buried treasure, by definition, has to be protected by traps and treachery. So when the stones walls in the cave begin to move, it's a sure sign that they are in the right spot!

The Review
Haruhiko is in love with his classmate, Yuka, but he lives with the demon Eukanaria who happens to look very similar to Yuka. Yuka is shy and quiet, whereas Eukanaria is obnoxious and always throwing herself at Haruhiko. Sounds good doesn't it? Well the problem is that Eukanaria is trying to cast Haruhiko's soul out of his body so she can replace it with her lover's soul, Fulcanelli the Enchanter. Good thing is Haruhiko just has to refuse Eukanaria's wishes and his is soul safe, should be easy but Haruhiko also has to keep it in his pants because Eukanaria can force his soul out if they sleep together. Dang, talk about having a poisoned apple dangled in your face everyday.

In this volume Haruhiko and Eukanaria travel to a magical cave system that contains demon stones. These stones can be used to make enchanted items, but there is a reportedly a dangerous creature inhabiting the caves and many demons are fighting each other for possession of the demon stones. So this adventure could prove to be quite dangerous. This cave adventure is where this story improved a notch for me. So far Eukanaria has seemed to be possessed with the need to replace Haruhiko's soul with Fulcanelli's, basically killing Haruhiko in the process. Well in the cave system Haruhiko gets separated from Eukanaria and runs into another attractive demon named Lavoix. She claims Eukanaria is a demon that 'feeds' on men and cares about no one but herself and Fulcanelli. During the cave exploring, Eukanaria is presented with the opportunity to continue as a cold-hearted bitch or turn over a new leaf. Haruhiko is also presented with an easy way out of his relationship with Eukanaria, which will get rid of her for good. I don't want to give anything away, but this story is still quite funny and I'm very happy with the way these characters are developing and that is why I gave this book a higher Content grade than volume 1.
