Bear Family Records of Germany, the world's leading preserver of 1960s musical culture, has announced The Encyclopedia of British and Irish Sixties Rock and Pop on CD-ROM. With entries of about 3,500 bands and artists and about 10,000 musicians, the CD-ROM embraces all bands and artists who helped shape Pop, Rock, Beat, R&B, Psychedelia and Folk-Rock, and who released at least one single, EP, LP or a track on a compilation album or EP during the sixties in Britain or Ireland. All bands, artists and musicians are linked so you can move directly from a band to the career of a connected musician and back. The other way round, you can move from a musician to the bands he played with (if they have an entry) and back. The data will be updated via Internet and each buyer will get an individual access code.
