Focus Features has revealed the first teaser trailer for their apocalyptic comedy, Seeking a Friend at the End of the World. Watch it in the video player down below courtesy of Yahoo. The June 22 release will star Steve Carell, Keira Knightley, Connie Britton, Adam Brody, Roger Aaron Brown, Tonita Castro, Rob Corddry, Melinda Dillon, Rob Huebel, Gillian Jacobs, Derek Luke, Melanie Lynskey, T.J. Miller, Mark Moses, Patton Oswalt, William Petersen, Lindsay Sloane and Bob Stephenson. Lorene Scafaria (Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist) is making her directorial debut with this production, based on a script she penned.

Plot Concept: Set in a too-near future, the movie explores what people will do when humanity's last days are at hand. As the respective journeys of Dodge (Carell) and Penny (Knightley) converge, the two spark to each other and their outlooks – if not the world's – brighten.

Is a interesting take on the end of the world theme. Will see it with my wife this movies makes you really apreciate what you have and not wait for a catastrophe to realize that.

Yeah...this is the American version of the CND movie Last Night from 1998 which is different people merging and dealing with the last day on earth and it's don in the ''last 8 hours'' and this movie is the last 3 weeks.

This one seems to be done as a joke where the original was done very emotionnelly and realistic. Another remake americanized for nothing...''sigh''...

Jedibanner, I can see the obvious difference you pointed out in that this is comedy.  Haven't seen Last Night but it's probably good, but this one is taking on the now popular subject matter with humor. Kind of like Shaun of the Dead with the Zombie Apocalypse.

It made me giggle and smile and looks like it's a fun date movie.

I guess the idea of the end of the world made as a joke doesn't appeal to me.

This looks awesome to me. I think I will go check this out. I've always thought that if the world was gonna end, it would be a hilarious experience and I often find myself rooting that it does happen in my lifetime.

I'm not a Steve Carell fan but I must admit that I dug the trailer. Still not something I'd see in the theater unless dragged to it

Wow, was not expecting a comedy from the description...laughed a lot during the trailer....looks great!

No, it's nothing like Last Night, at all.

Love the idea. I wanna see this movie.

This looks like a fun movie given the fact that MOST of us will die on December 21st anyway. Hell, we might as well laugh it all off right? The Joker said it best, "If you're gonna go...Go with a SMILE!"

Enjoy your end of days with the ones you love!
