Helmer Gavin Hood is expected to begin production early next year in New Orleans. Set in Earth's Utopian future, "Ender's Game" is the story of a young boy, a genius strategist, who is drafted by the International Fleet to destroy the alien Formic race.

Ender's Game invades theaters on March 15, 2013.

I like the cast....only question that remains does the script hold up to the book and is Gavin Hood going to Wolverine the movie.

Hobbs,  I gotta agree.  Gavin Hood's track record isn't very good.  Also factor in that just because the cast looks good on paper, doesn't mean the movie will be good.  You need a good director to get good, solid performances from your actors.  Just look at the casts for the Star Wars prequels.  Liam Neeson, Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman, Sam Jackson, even Hayden Christianson have all given pretty darn good performances when they had a good director.

Ford's last couple movie's haven't been up to par and Kingsley has done his fair share of horrible films.

Fingers-crossed that everything comes together well.

Sounds good, now lets see a trailer.  Also, lets see if it is rated R or a hard PG-13.  I have high hopes.  Let them not dash them all over the ground like sp much trash.  I love this book.

Ender's Game should be a mini - series, not a movie.

Gavin Hood's track record isn't very good? That's a good one.  One mediocre movie does not make a track record.

I hate having high hopes for movies....I always seem to be let down.  If the can stick to the essence of the book I think it will work....

Fingers crossed!!
