Respect by most, hate and jeaslousy by many.  That part is missing from the synopsis.  Great book one of my all time favorites.  I cannot wait to see this world come to life.

I just finished reading the book and liked it alot. Although I can't see them use the age of the kids in the books. The conversations they have when they are 6 year or 8 years old probably won't make it believable.

Hope they stick with the twist at the end.

I agree- the books would have been much better had Ender been 13 or 14..

I hope this movie does well because I would love to see the rest of the series made into movies!

I've neevr read a book as fast as this one.  Could not put it down.  Also can't see how this movie could be as good, but I'll be there.

ElBaz they are bumping up the age of the characters for the film though

This and Gravity are 2 of my top films these year that somehow seem to be flying under the radar.

Absolutely LOVED the book......but I don't see how this can be done, without the general audience laughing like little school girls with the dialogue coming from such young children. It works in a novel, because one doesn't have to rely on "acting" from real people. And , if they bump up the age, then it's not really "Ender's Game" and would have less of an impact than the book. That's what made the book so damned good.

Oh well. I know this happens with a lot of book to movie translations. Not many books can be a faithful to the source material as say, Quest for Fire! LOL!!!!

Speaking of Quest for Fire, DAMN, that is one BAD ASS movie! I saw it in the theaters, and came out of there with a whole new look on Humans.  ;-p

MILD BOOK SPOILER.

really looking forward to this movie as well. I keep wondering how they are going to portray Ender in this because in the book, he's a pretty messed up kid. Especially what he does to the bully in the beginning of the book. I wonder if those sort of actions are going to be shown especially if this is going to be PG13. Anyway, I think the twist at the end is a must!

Has anyone read the other trilogies? I think the Shadow series could be a really great political movie. For adults/young adults.
