Not Sith but...

It seems as if another Star Wars: Episode VII, rumor is now circulating. This one comes from Latino-Review, a site that is notorious for getting it both right and wrong. Today, they have posted a story in which they reveal that the main villains for Episode VII are in fact the Inquisitors.

The Inquisitors are force sensitive servants/ protectors of the Sith. All this is now a part of the defunct Star Wars expanded universe. You can learn more about them here. Here is what Latino-Review had to say:

To catch you up on what we think we know about Episode VII’s plot thus far: Luke’s lightsaber (and maybe hand but probably not) crash lands on a planet leading Daisy Ridley and John Boyega on a search for Luke, which leads them to Han and Chewie, who aren’t in the Millennium Falcon because Oscar Isaacs has it. The party is looking for Luke who has been MIA since Jedi. But Luke isn’t hiding, Luke is a captive.

Let’s push our understanding past the first act and into the second act of the story.

What we’ve been circling around are the villains of the piece, occasionally coming up with buzzing from the set about bounty hunters or “Sith Witches,” and those aren’t entirely inaccurate, but the truth is much more…

The Inquisitors are the villains of Star Wars: Episode VII and the name of the main villain in Star Wars: Rebels”.
Is this true? Has JJ Abrams, Lucasfilm, and Walt Disney tied everything together with a new character that will debut this fall in Star Wars Rebels? He introduce the concept of the Inquisitors to a broader audience. Only time will tell.

I have no idea what this all means but it sounds amazing!

Luke has been prisoner for 30 years without being rescued by Han and Lando? That doesn't sound very believable.

I could see Luke retreating to train some new Jedi. But I can't see him hiding or being captured.

ElBaz13 8/15/2014 2:32:42 PM

Doesn't mean he was captured 30 years ago. He could have been training jedi in a remote location or even traveling across the galaxy looking for force users and was captured. If that is the case, how would Han know he was captured in the first place?

I love how they say no to EU but no problems taking material from it. Inquisitors are from the RPG and then brought in the novels.

elrushbo 8/15/2014 3:44:18 PM

 That sounds stupid. Really stupid.

elrushbo 8/15/2014 3:49:58 PM

Luke should be head of the Jedi council and rebuilding the order.

I don't think I'm liking that story line.  Maybe becaue I've read to many books and they are throwing all of that away.

BunyonSnipe 8/15/2014 5:28:56 PM

The RPG dates back befor Heir to the Empire and is therefore BEFORE EU, isn't it?

elrushbo 8/16/2014 4:27:29 AM

Plus there's no mention of Leia in any of this

I take all these leaks and rumors with a grain of salt until the first trailer. But it does make sense they would cherry pick the parts of the EU.
