Eric Balfour and Carlo Rota return to 24

According to TV Guide, both Eric Balfour and Carlo Rota will be returning to 24 for season six. They also report that Alexander Siddig will play a bad guy in the upcoming season.

TV Guide writes, "Just got off the phone with my 24 mole and he/she informs me that Eric Balfour has signed on to reprise his Season 1 role as independent CTU contractor Milo Pressman. My spy wouldn't say how Milo would be re-introduced, but he'll be sticking around for awhile: Balfour will be credited as a series regular.

"In other 24 news, former Star Trek: Deep Space Nine doc Alexander Siddig is joining the cast as one of the evil-doers behind the big Season 6 plot. Additionally, Carlo Rota (aka Mr. Chloe O'Brien) will be back as a series regular."

You can expect to see 24 back on your TV this coming January on Fox.

For the longest time I thought Siddig was Dr. Baltar from Battlestar. Glad to see some of the folks from one of the best shows ever on TV is going back to another good show. He should be interesting as an evil doer.

It was great to see Siddig in Syriana, I suspect that role is what got him noticed by the 24 producers. I'm looking forward to see what he can do in the role of the villain for a change. This is actually the second DS9 alum to get a job on 24. Remember Sherry Palmer was played by Penny Johnson, who also played Cassidy Yates on DS9.

Maybe if we're lucky, Keiko will be on with O'Brien and Jack can kill her. Will be cool to see Bashir again. Can't say as I'm crazy to see Mr. Chloe back, but at least it will give her something to scowl about. I love it when she gets attitudinal.

Chloe is one of the best reasons to watch 24. With the possible exception of John Cleese in the Cheese Shop Skit, nobody played "irritated" as well as she does.

Well i guess Alexander Siddig will not be playing an IRA Terrorist! I love this show and Sid but I got a feeling that Fox cant come up with any other bad guys who are not Arab ,Russian or Our own Prez. A for Hiring Sid I will hold my judgement until we get a clearer idea of the plot. Please dont think my remarks are for political reasons purley fiction. LOL

and Balfour was also on Conviction on NBC It never had chance due to time slot. But it is good to see the kid working!

As a constant viewer of 24, I knew they would bring back Mr. O'Brien after introducing him last season. And as for Balfour it was a gaurantee he would return as he was one of the only main crew who hasn't died besides the usual suspects. Though, I expect them to either kill off Curtis, or Buchannon, or perhaps even Jacks' squeeze Audrey. If they kill off Chloe, I beleive the show would lose something special, 'cause NO-ONE can pout as well as her. Plus in season 4, she was hot when she blasted that assasin with the rifle!

Plus, Sidig I can almost gaurantee that he will be an exceptional villian, because he has such talent.

I just hope typcasting will not be an issue, I guess Peter McNicol is just gonna be a weasel. He would make a very intresting bad guy, Def not type casting
