SAVAGE DRAGON creator Erik Larsen is stepping down as co-writer and artist of Marvel Comics' DEFENDERS.
Kurt Busiek, who wrote DEFENDERS with Larsen, is apparently remaining on the title. He said Larsen's last issue will be #12.
"Erik is still not fully recovered from his pneumonia and needs to focus on SAVAGE DRAGON and scale back his other workload," Busiek said in a statement through Marvel.
As for the future of the book, Busiek said that there is "big stuff coming" and that he will make an announcement next weekend at the Canadian National Comic Expo in Toronto.
