Dee Wallace Stone says that changes are being made to E.T. prior to the film's planned 20th anniversary release in 2002.
While talking to syndicated columnists Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith, Wallace revealed that a line in the film is being changed as a result of the September 11th terrorist attacks.
Wallace explained what will be altered, saying, "There was some reference to one of the Halloween characters in the film looking like a terrorist, so we're going in to reloop that line."
The actress added that the re-released film will have "new footage, from what I understand."
