How's this for Steven Spielberg fans who have been waiting for perhaps his best film, E.T. THE EXTRA TERRESTRIAL, to finally make its way to DVD: the film will only be on disc for ten weeks.

According to Universal Studios Home Video, the film will be released on disc October 22 and will be pulled after 10 weeks, when it will go 'indefinitely' on moratorium.

The two disc set features 10 hours of extras, and will sport both the original 1982 version and the 2001 20TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION.

Among the film's extras are a music only track, highlighting John William's score, including the editions for the ANNIVERSARY EDITION, as well as a four minute overture and 'light show.'

The film is coming out in the Limited DVD Collector's Edition for $22.92, and a Ultimate Collector's Gift Set, which has a full script and soundtrack included with the DVD for $69.98.
