Microsoft announced today at its X01 Conference in Europe that the Xbox will launch in Europe on March 14th.
Microsoft will release the Xbox for the retail price of 479 euros and games will be priced a 69 euros. 1.5 million units are expected to be shipped by the end of June.
"We're going to be making our debut in Europe in a big way, with 1.5 million consoles planned for shipment in the first three months on sale," said Sandy Duncan, vice president of Xbox Europe. "Thanks to our dedicated Xbox factory in Hungary, we can ensure that the large demand for Xbox in Europe will be met without shortages. The weekly replenishments from a local source enabled by the Xbox factory are a great value-add for all partners."
The Xbox releases in the United States on November 15th for the retail price of $299.
