According to the Hollywood Reporter, Eva Mendes has signed on to the upcoming Millennium Films thriller, Cleaner.  She will join Christa Campbell, Sameul L. Jackson, Ed Harris and Keke Palmer in the cast of the film.

The script, penned by Matthew Aldrich, follows a former cop (Jackson) who makes his living cleaning up crime scenes. After cleaning a murder site, he discovers that the crime was never reported to the police and that he has unwittingly covered up a homicide.

Mendes will play the role of widow to the slain man and will turn to Jackson for help.

Shooting is now underway.

KJ's Take: Mendes was gorgeous in Hitch, and is always fun to look at for a few hours.  The script sounds interesting enough (though don't ask me how Jackson ends up at the scene) and it does boasts a decent cast, maybe this is one of Jackson's rare hits rather than another of his growing pile of misses.

Eva's booty is most welcome in any film.

It is alway funny to remember her, in a useless part next to Will Frell and Chirs Cattan in: A night at the Roxbury. And now she is a growing star.

Eva was terrific in Hitch, and this a great cast. Some of Jackson's movies might go belly up, but I kind of like that he's just a good, working actor. Good or bad films, they're usually entertaining with him in the mix.

I only looked at the picture and didn't read the article. Based on that, this is going to be a great film!

This is a little confusing. I guess some one is trying to cover up the murder and he gets the call. Why wouldn't the police be notified?

Oh and Eva, Ouch. Very HOT.

This is how I think it happens. Either a group of people impersonates cops and call him to do a clean up, or actual cops commit the murder and call him to do the clean up. Since he is the clean up person, I am guessing that he doesnt have to file that much paper work, if any, like the cops and detectives do that are involved in the case.

So from the character's perspective, he just did his job.

So tasty. So tasty.

My guess on the plot would be dirty cops. He's called in by bad cops. He cleans the scene. He finds out there's no investigation. The cops deny ever being there. Yada yada yada.

Did I mention Eva Mendes is tasty?

Wow, I cannot believe how many like Eva. I cannot stand her. She seems dirty to me. I am just not thinking she is hot. The chick from boat trip and Rush Hour 2? She is hot. Not Eva. Anywho...on with the movie....I think this movie sounds great. I like the premise. SLJ is one of my favortie actors....so bring on the mother-f-ing crime scene baby.
