Why is Hemsworth dressed like a mechanic and Evans like he's got some serious business to attend to? I wonder if they're betting against each other as to which film will win the summer

Toy Fair 2011 has had a lot to offer comics fans with a gaggle of Thor and Captain America toys, which we had covered prior to the event, but some of the pictures coming out from it are definitely fun from the promotional front. With Hasbro ramping up well for both of those features, they got in Thor's Chris Hemsworth and Captain America's Chris Evans to check out what the final products are like. Of course, you can laugh about them playing with such toys after using the much more expensive props that were made for the features, but there's something fun and charming about the guys checking out action figures of themselves and all the other gear.

Don't know if the story will get into the mythology much, but a cool Thor myth that I remember from school was why his hammer has a handle that's too short. Seems Odin forced Loki to make a hammer for Thor as punishment for some mischief. So Loki agreed, but he got a dwarf to make it for him. Loki turned into a gadfly and started stinging the dwarf while he was making the hammer. Every time the dwarf swatted the gadfly, he stopped squeezing the bellows. Ultimately the hammer turned out to have a handle that was too short for a war hammer.
Actually Batmite, that is the same story Marvel used in the first issue of the Loki mini (or was it one-shot?) not long ago. Of course Loki coveted the hammer and wanted to keep it for himself. But Odin forced him to give it up and turned it over to Thor. There was more to the story than that, but I can't remember all the details right now.
I wish they would have made a shield that is heavy enough and intended to be thrown around and is closer to actual size.
So I created an account just to say this about pic 3....AVENGERS some ASSEMBLY required!!!!
