The Event: Face Off

Full speed ahead

The Event was full speed ahead this week picking up where last week left off with the aliens hiding in a building with the President sending in troops to take them out. Sophia’s character evolves this week, first to a woman fighting for her people and by the end a devastated and probably vengeful mother. The government takes the realistic and predictable route of selling the aliens as terrorists rather than what they really are. But aren’t they also terrorists now? The story is starting to get a bit complex with new tendrils drilling into global locations and multiple story arcs. The challenge for the creative team is to keep it all from getting convoluted. So far so good though, because this episode was dramatic all the way to the end and action packed. It’s still no LOST but it’s the closest thing to it on TV and that’s a compliment.

Such a great episode...this show is finally becoming what we all had hoped.

I think my only real complaints are the annoying half-breed girlfriend that cant act worth a damn and the dialogue that continuously explains things as though we are idiots and didnt catch what had just happened.  Example: when Walker goes onto his laptop after the 2 hour alarm goes off to enter the code (which is stupid too, I must add), he is asked what he is doing....response "I am entering the code that I must enter every 2 hours, you know the code that keeps your sons identity from becoming public"  No $#@! douche, I thought you meant the code from under the bottle cap to see if you won a free Pepsi.

thought the CGI destruction of the Washington Monument was pretty darn cool.  Very good episode, very intense.

It will be a real shame if this show gets dropped. Same with V.

I agree it would a shame to see this dropped but the number's aren't in it's favor at all.
