While promoting his FOX midseason replacement series GREG THE BUNNY at the winter 2002 Television Critic's Association press tour, actor Seth Green let go a few tidbits regarding the third installment of the AUSTIN POWERS franchise, GOLDMEMBER.
"I don't start on AUSTIN POWERS until the end of the month," says Green. "[As for the plot], I'm not really sure. I've read about 20 different versions of the script and they all reflect different aspects."
What Green can say for certain is that the film "is going to be funny" and that his character of Scott Evil "will develop." Additionally, he finds the role a personal favorite due in large part to its deadpan humor.
"I actually like playing the straight man," reveals Green. "The whole AUSTIN POWERS series, I'm just basically playing it straight. It's a liberating place to be because I don't have to go out of my way to perform. I can basically let somebody else take the spotlight."
AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER is due out in theaters this summer.
