For people who wonder why Superman wears short on the outside, you can see the reason in that video. That cameltoe would be really embarssing for a Man of Steel.

I love to hear Joe Q talking THOR it gets me excited, not that kind of excited. Thor having mythology and magic elements makes for a pretty unique superhero and to do it right I think is what Joe Q is referring to when he says Branagh will change the conventions of a superhero movie. At least that's what I think and  for one I'm glad  cause even though I want realism as far as emotions, reactions and interactions of characters I don't want "reality", we get enough of that already and we only get a couple of comic book movies a year if we're lucky

I like Iger's thinking as far as Marvel goes. I'd love to see some tv series based on B, C and even D listers. Make them relevant then we can move them to feature films. The possibilities are endless  with all the Marvel characters. Maybe we can have an only Marvel channel down the line, the Hulk and Spiderman tv series, all the different cartoon series and all the recent Marvel films, I may never leave the house

WOW! What the hell was the point of the video?  And what's with all the moaning and animal sounds?

Cheesey1 12/30/2009 11:30:52 AM

Agreed Wiseguy, an all Marvel channel would be luverly, or dare I say Marvelous...

jfdavis 12/30/2009 12:31:46 PM

A Marvel channel would be awesome.

With all the hype both IM2 and Thor have been getting lately, I'm starting to get worried they may not be as good as they seem to be...

Cheesey1 12/30/2009 1:02:51 PM

JF, I don't get the impression that they won't be fantastic films. The IM2 teaser was great and I'm interested to see what secrets the Stark family has been hiding (I won't even mention War Machine). I think Vanko will be a great villain and I know he's going to have a proper suit at some point in the film. I really think that it's going to be better than IM1 and Thor is going to be out of this world cool. We're going to have Thor smashing things with Mjolnir, Asgard, Odin, Loki, magic, immortality, continuity, that good old Marvel vibe, a large budget, top notch special effects, sweet costumes and proper sets. Not to mention a great cast and a quality director.

I'm not sure about Len Wein writing the screenplay for Swamp Thing. Sure he created the character, but Alan Moore wrote the definitive run on him. If they want to franchise it I could see Wein's origin then hand it over to someone like Timur Beckmambetov for all the existential Alan Moore stuff.

jfdavis 12/30/2009 1:13:17 PM

Yes, the IM2 trailer was awesome so I'm pretty sure it'll rock. Yes, with everything they're throwing into Thor it's hard to believe it'll be anything but awesome but it almost seems to good to be true. I'm anxious to see both.

Ok first off WTF was up with that video I mean it had potential to be semidecent with the suit exploding at the end but nooooo the dude just walks to the camera LAME

I would love to see more Marvel stuff on the TV Who knows maybe Disney could even do something with Howard the Duck as opposed to the horrible film that came out all those years ago. Power Pack would be interesting to see as well as Dr. Strange. I could possibly see something like Smallville but with a Marvel character like maybe Luke Cage or Iron fist or even both

I for one can't wait for Thor or Iron Man2 although I'm still upset that they haven't released a good picture of Black Widow in costume I want to see a full body shot not one of her croutching down

Pumped for the Thor movie.

Now on to Inflatable Superman:

1) More weird than funny. I was disappointed he didn't blow up in the end.

2) If you check out the next clip, you can see the same guy wearing Supes' red trunks as well, but they are just stills.

3) I couldn't help but be reminded of the pre-Crisis Superman books where Supey could stretch his cape around a whole planet if he needed to. Makes the clip above seem much less rediculous by comparison.

4) Where the heck does one go to get such a suit?

5) Methinks the lad has some kind of inflatable fetish. In the 2nd clip he's wearing a black outfit with a ski mask and pixelates [sp?] his face when he's in the Superman get-up. Creepy!

6) Baldy needs to get to work on his inflatable Spider-Man costume. The Marvel Network has slots to fill!

7) What I would have given to be waiting off-camera. With a pin.
