Wasn't this one supposed to come out last fall/winter? Or that's what IMDB said, but for some movies, the studios like to change the release dates. And even when the movies do come out, nobody cares because the release dates have been shuffled back and forth like IPod music.

I still have a soft spot for the disaster film genre. I'll keep an eye out for this.

I'm pretty sure no one cares about this movie because it sounds like shit and not because of the release date. That said I think they should release it in August or November where there are still people at the movies (summer and then holidays) because this will never do that great at the box office anyways.

I think they may be struggling to know how to market it, because I think it'll be more atmosphere than action, despite that trailer.
But I'm looking forward to it. I love sci-fi, though I do wish film makers would be a little more relaitic with the dates that mamy of these movies are set in. I mean seriously, does anyone think we'll be able to get to the sun in 50 years time? 150 maybe...
And even though Blade Runner is permanently in my Top 5 movies, it's set just 10 years from now. How's that looking?

relaitic = realistic, in case my bad typing left you puzzling that out.

You're not Capt Harry Tuttle from the 4077th by any chance, are you?

Think Brazil, not Korea.

Aha!

I did not want to see The Core. Every instinct in my body told me it would suck.
I went anyway, and I was right.
I don't have the same bad feelings here, but it doesn't strike me as a good movie.
I'll be there anyway. I'm such a sucker for space opera...

Now it's scheduled to come out July 20th?

Just a couple of months ago, it was still set for mid-September.

I've been looking forward to this one, if only for the cast. But I know this movie has already been out overseas in some countries for months already.
