With Iron Man hitting Blu-Ray and DVD today, a lot of you will be going out to buy the Paramount and Marvel Studios adventure. As an added bonus for fans of the first installment, Paramount has unleashed a few of the extended and deleted scenes online as well as an ILM test and a video on the special effects. Last summer's smash hit starred Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, Jeff Bridges and Jon Favreau, who also directed the project.
The film, which cost $140 million to produce, wound up grossing $318.2 million domestically and another $253.5 million from international markets. Production on the sequel is expected to begin in early 2009 with a release planned for May 7, 2010. All principal parties are returning with the addition of screenwriter Justin Theroux (Tropic Thunder) in charge of fleshing out the story.
