With director Joss Whedon wrapping up his shoot for Walt Disney and Marvel's The Avengers, it may be a little late to be revealing more concept art for the characters but that's exactly what SpiderMedia.ru and SHH have unleashed online. One snapshot is another group shot of the heroes together while the other centers on Loki (Tom Hiddleston). You can check out previously-released individual concept art from the SDCC here and another recently released group shot below as well.

The action adventure will star Hiddlestron, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Stellan Skarsgård and Cobie Smulders. Whedon is leading the direction, based on a script he wrote.

Marvel's The Avengers flies into theaters May 4, 2012.

This movie can't get here soon enough. I know everyone is saying this, but good grief it looks amazing.

I'm dying to see some hero vs hero action, mostly THOR vs HULK or really HULK vs anyone.

Can't wait! Can't wait!! Can't wait!!! That's all I have to say...

Very cool.  Hopefully this will spawn another Hulk movie opposed to a TV show.  They were just on the verge of getting it right in the second film.  Loving the concept art.

I just gotta say this to a group of people who might understand it...

I read and loved the Avengers when I was a kid.  LOVED.  My first real intro to them was a short story by Jim Shooter about Ultron.

To see this image and know that I will be watching this movie next year is just crazy to me.  The thought of the Avengers on the big screen (and it looking so potentially awesome) still just kind of blows my mind sometimes.

Who would have thought that a movie about something so wide scale as the Avengers would get made so soon?

Classic Captain America pose. Love it. Can't describe how excited I am for this, I too would love to see a scrap between Hulk and Thor. None of the others could really mix it up like these two!

WOw i saw these 4 days ago on super hero hype dot com. They are cool for sure. but notice how CAP's ears are showing in these photos. In first promo shots an in the spy footage his ears are covered. Now i prefer the visable ears since its more in line with the comics plus it just looks better. I wonder what they will finally show on screen?!

zipahead 9/1/2011 9:11:07 AM

yeah this is your classic  Marvel action posing...looks great...I disagree with some of the comments though ,i wish that they didn't insist on rushing this movie so much...i would rather they take two years and not just put out a piece a crap two cash in on the hype.

Great posters, and it looks like they really wanted to emphasize the Black Widow's ASSets - nice!

Only problem about a Avengers movie for me is I do not really care about any of the superheroes except Iron Man. I was brought up as a Batman/Superman fan. The Iron Man movie made me a fan of his because the movie is so good. Thor movie did nothing for me so I don't overly care about him. Captain America movie was better but also not a whole lot of love for him from me. I will still watch it I just won't be very excited about it.
